Bachelor of Fine Arts - Thesis

In March 2015 I presented my Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis. Unforgettable memories often reflect our hopes and fears. I am fascinated with frightening psychological content recalling vivid details of these hopes and fears that we are trained to hide so deeply. I want to provoke a feeling of imminent physical danger with a sensation of being trapped representing the states of fear and confusion experienced when imagination blends with reality. If we hope to live not just moment to moment, but in true consciousness of our existence, then our greatest need and most difficult achievement is to find meaning in our lives. Throughout life we develop the ability to understand the difference between our imagination and our waking reality. We are all translating our daily reality into some sort of enchanted part of an imagination realm, and it is this translation that I want to capture because it is this realm that is the carrier of the plots we endlessly re-work in the narratives of our lives helping us work through things like fear and hope.
